  • Virtual Private Servers (VPS): a virtual machine sold/rented on a timely basis i.e. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually or greater, by an Internet Service Provider. It is a server under a physical environment (parent server or dedicated/bare metal server).
  • Private: is just what it implies! A virtual server is reserved for its users having dedicated RAM, CPU, Disk Space and cannot be shared with other users. A it's a part of Dedicated Server it will share network speed with other users.

As of now, Gaming Industry is becoming a well-known industry most of the people spends a heavy amount of momey to protect their gaming servers from hacking and bruteforcing by a DDoS attack.

OVH Game Server Protection provide us a strong firewall system enabling us to mitigate almost every DDoS attack before reaching to any server and ensuring not a single downtime on any server.

How it works?

By default all gaming traffic i.e. UDP traffic is blocked by OVH Firewall. You need to ask customer support to allow any port or range of ports for a gaming server. If you are running a Teamspeak server, you need to ask our customer support to allow traffic on port "9987" as it is the only port which is UDP.
